THE PROCEDURE

If you are in-fact a candidate for the laser assisted procedure, the following is what you need to know about the procedure:

  • Usually takes 15-20 minutes to complete
  • Requires the use of a Laserscope "KTP" laser
  • Usually requires no general anesthesia (case by case basis)
  • Patient can usually return to work the same day
  • Performed in an outpatient setting, i.e. a licensed outpatient surgery center
  • No pain, discomfort, or inflammation after the procedure
  • Breathe better almost immediately after the procedure
  • Most private insurance plans will typically cover the procedure
